J.T. Miller once wanted to only be traded to the East Coast, but now, in his quest to get out of Vancouver, he has reportedly softened on that stance, and now he's been linked to a Stanley Cup contender.

For months now, it's been nothing but drama in Vancouver, with the team looking to move J.T. Miller, and recently, they believed that they'd gotten a deal done with the New York Rangers.

Given the circumstances, Miller reportedly told the team that he would only want to be moved to the East Coast to an American team, but according to a report, he's since softened on that stance.

That comes from Elliotte Friedman, who immediately followed that up by linking the 31-year old to the Colorado Avalanche, who just cleared out cap space in the Mikko Rantanen deal and have an open spot in the 2C role that Miller would fill perfectly.

Despite all of the drama and the media scrutiny, Miller has again been solid for this team in 2024/25, tallying 9 goals and 35 points in 40 games played, proving that even as he ages and deals with all of the off-ice issues that this team has presented, he can still be a very good player.

The details of that failed trade reveal that it's likely going to take a first-round pick and a roster player at least to land Miller, and with the Avalanche having several pieces to move, this could be a good option for them to beef up their top-six.

This revelation that Miller is now open to playing elsewhere could certainly get plenty of other teams involved in discussions, so expect talks to ramp up in the coming weeks, but for now, Miller remains a Canuck as their strange season rolls on.
