Fanatics is once again under fire for their jersey qualities, and now they're being blamed for running Christmas for many people who received awful gifts.

The holiday season is prime time for sports merchandise. Imagine someone pining for a Sidney Crosby jersey but being too afraid to spend the money on it themselves.

Enter Fanatics, the behemoth in sports apparel and quite possibly one of the worst companies out there, yes, unfortunately, they have taken over as the official NHL jersey manufacturer.

Fanatics is infamous for cranking out overpriced, hastily designed, and generally inaccurate officially licensed gear.

Many well-intentioned gift-givers have been burned by this: either catching the mistakes before giving the gift or, worse, finding out after someone close has opened a present with mistakes in it.

Across the continent, sports fans found themselves awkwardly thanking well-meaning friends and family for gifts like a "Liam Draisailt" jersey or other glaring mistakes.

Sure, anyone can make a typo or mix up shipments, but the blunders Fanatics produces are on another level.

Compared to receiving the wrong team, name, or number, some mistakes seem almost charming. And now, we're even hearing «heartwarming» stories of players fixing Fanatics' blunders.

It's infuriating, not just because Fanatics skips quality control but because the pro leagues and player unions continue partnering with them, prioritizing profits over fans.

These deals make one thing clear: as long as the money flows, your favorite team sees you as little more than a walking wallet. If you're still unsure, just skip on that botched "Draisailt" sweater.
