Following a Detroit Lions game on Sunday, a tragedy occurred in the concourse level that took the lives of two fans.

Detroit Police Chief James White confirmed one man in his 20s died of severe injuries after an intense fight occurred in the aftermath of the game's outcome. A second victim, a man in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene, as a result of the incident.
The altercation occurred as police were controlling traffic around the stadium following the event. Thankfully, due to swift police intervention, one suspect was taken into custody a short time later, described as being in his 30s. Two firearms were recovered at the scene.
Police Chief White reassured fans that there was no longer any danger. Authorities are now interested in finding out what the circumstances of the violence were. Now that the suspect is in custody, investigators are concentrating on trying to piece together the motive for the attack.
Police added that they really do want anybody with more details about the incident to come forward as efforts are continually being made towards justice for the victims and their families.
This is no doubt a very scary, concerning moment at a sporting event that is meant to be about having fun and engaging with others in camaraderie. Let's hope a situation like this never happens again.
