So, what's going on with Luke Hughes' arm?

A YouTube video just leaked showing the New Jersey Devils defenseman with his arm in a sling, and now fans are buzzing with concern.

Luke, the No. 4 overall pick in 2021, was spotted at Michigan University on September 7th with his brother and Norris Trophy winner Quinn, the Vancouver Canucks captain, watching Michigan's football team lose to Texas last Saturday.

For those who remember, Luke was a star at Michigan for two years, potting 27 goals and 87 points in 80 games. He even became a Hobey Baker finalist in 2022.

After an impressive rookie season as a Calder Trophy finalist, with 47 points in 82 games, Luke is expected to play a big role on the Devils' blueline this year alongside star free-agent acquisition Brett Pesce and link up with his brother and star forward Jack for more nifty goals.

Earlier this summer, the Hughes brothers-Quinn, Jack, and Luke-made headlines when they were announced as the cover athletes for EA SPORTS NHL 25, set to drop on October 4 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It was an historic moment since they're the first siblings ever featured on an EA SPORTS cover together. Their on-ice chemistry and skill have been a big part of NHL 25's focus on gameplay evolution.

Yet, with Luke's left arm hampered, everyone's wondering how serious the injury is-especially with training camp right around the corner.

Nobody knew he had an issue with his arm, so this is a surprise. It's possible the 21 year-old might miss the start of camp, but hopefully, it's nothing that'll linger into the regular season.
