Sports fans have been frustrated with Fanatics for many years for how they use poor quality to make jerseys and Seattle Kraken's Matty Beniers further proved that.

The news that Fanatics will be manufacturing NHL jerseys starting from the 2024-2025 season has made most hockey fans a bit anxious. Fanatics, as it were, had been the influential name within the sports merchandise landscape, particularly in replacing Adidas, which produced the official NHL jerseys since the 2017-2018 season.
The fears are fueled by the perceived poor quality of the products from Fanatics. Most fans have complained of getting low-quality goods from the brand, ranging from stitching, strength, and overall construction of jerseys. For now, NHL jerseys are a significant investment for most fans since they usually go for more than $200, and fans are worried they will not get the same type of quality that they used to get with Adidas but will be forced to pay the same price.
Seattle Kraken's Matty Beniers further added fuel to the fire with his latest issue he encountered wearing a Fanatics practice jersey. In a photo posted on X, it appears that the jersey is completely ripped on the side. This will add a lot of panic to already agitated fans.
Hockey fans are decidedly passionate about the traditional aspects of the sport, and any decline in the quality of the jerseys means a probable lessening of the heritage of the game. While Fanatics has promised to maintain high standards and work closely with the NHL to ensure quality control, there is a degree of skepticism. These new jerseys are awaited by the fans to see if Fanatics can live up to the hype and the high standards set by previous manufacturers, however, if Matty Beniers' jersey is any indication, it's going to be a horribly long season for NHL fans.
