In breaking news, the most hated player in the NHL Nick Cousins signed a contract for the 2024-25 season.

According to the insider Frank Seravalli, Cousins agreed on the terms of a one-year deal valued at 800k with the Ottawa Senators:
Cousins, 31, may have won the Stanley Cup with the Florida Panthers last season, but his reputation precedes him. He always was a dirty player, and officially earned the title of the most hated man in the NHL, as voted by his peers.
In Ottawa, the Senators will once again look to have their breakout season. With a young talented core, the key addition of Linus Ullmark betweem the pipes, and the new head coach Travis Green, it'll be interesting to see what happens in a few weeks for the organization.
Now, with Nick Cousins, they hope to get a better physical presence, which should be useful against their division rivals, like the Toronto Maple Leafs, Montreal Canadiens, Florida Panthers or Boston Bruins.
Last season, in 69 games, he had 64 penalty minutes, and scored 15 points, including seven goals.
During the playoffs, he was often scratched out of the lineup, but ended up scoring one point in 12 games and tallying 20 penalty minutes.
