Patrik Laine's fiancee Jordan Leigh has taken to social media to ask the fans a series of questions to help her get accustomed to life in Montreal, Quebec.

Montreal Canadiens forward Patrik Laine is gearing up for his first season with his new team after being traded from the Columbus Blue Jackets. Laine, who came to the Canadiens along with a 2026 second-round pick in exchange for Jordan Harris, has been putting in extra effort in his off-season training as the Habs' training camp approaches.
While Patrik Laine is focused on getting back on the ice, his fiancée, Jordan Leigh, has turned to social media for advice about their upcoming move to Montreal. She reached out to Habs fans for tips on settling into the city and also asked for recommendations for a French tutor.
«What do I need to know before moving to Montreal? And also, if anyone knows a French teacher, please send me their contact details,» Leigh posted on her personal account.

Fans quickly responded, sharing their favorite things about Montreal and offering suggestions. Many highlighted the city's famous poutine, a dish that Leigh humorously responded to in a follow-up post.
«I don't know what poutine is, but it looks like I'm absolutely about to find out. Thanks for the love, everyone! I'm taking note!,» Leigh wrote.

The outpouring of support from fans has helped ease the couple's transition to Montreal, which represents a fresh start for Patrik Laine after a challenging period in his life marked by injuries and mental health struggles, including time spent in the NHL/NHLPA Players Assistance Program last season. Just prior to Laine's trade, both he and Jordan launched a new initiative called «From Us To You» to support mental health awareness and provide resources for those facing similar challenges that Laine dealt with.
«We are so excited to finally be able to share what we have been working on. This project is close to our hearts, and we hope that by creating From Us to You, we can open up a safe space for discussion, support, resources, and growth together,»
As the 2024-25 season nears, fans are eager to see how Patrik Laine will perform with the Canadiens. His career-best season was in 2017-18 with the Winnipeg Jets, where he scored 44 goals and recorded 70 points in his second year in the NHL.
