The Toronto Maple Leafs came into the summer of 2024 needing to nail all of their moves, and according to Bruce Boudreau, they may have done just that.

Game 7 of the first round in the Stanley Cup Finals was a nightmare for the Toronto Maple Leafs, and soon after, the front office made some swift changes. First was the hiring of Craig Berube, signalling the departure of Sheldon Keefe, and then in free agency, Brad Treliving put together a great set of moves.

Not only did they ink Timothy Liljegren to a two-year extension, but they also added Chris Tanev and Oliver Ekman-Larsson to the blue line, with Anthony Stolarz and Alex Nylander also joining as free agents. There have been other teams that have made some flashy moves, but according to former Canucks Head Coach Bruce Boudreau, no team in the Atlantic Division had a better off-season than Toronto.

In the Atlantic, the Red Wings, Maple Leafs, Lightning, Panthers, Sabres and Bruins are all expecting to battle for a place in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, but with a loaded forward group, Toronto could finally put it all together if things go well. With question marks remaining on their roster, the job isn't done for Treliving and the front office, but for now, they head into the 2024/25 campaign with plenty of optimism as they chase their first Stanley Cup since way back in 1967.
