One of the Toronto Maple Leafs top scouts has decided to abandon the club and head slightly south, signing with the Pittsburgh Penguins instead.

It seems like this has been happening all too often for Toronto Maple Leafs fans: Kyle Dubas poaching another one. Dubas has struck again, this time snagging one of the Leafs best scouts, Chris Roque, who will now call Pittsburgh home.
Roque and Dubas used to work together in the OHL for the Soo Greyhounds. Roque was a scout for the team, and then he later transitioned to the Maple Leafs and once again joined Dubas there. As the saying goes, not two without three, as Dubas and Roque will once again be re-uniting in their lives, this time in Pittsburgh.

It appears that Kyle Dubas knows good talent when he sees it, which is exactly why he is going to be working alongside Roque for a third time. Roque also has major experience working with young players as he was one of the top scouts in the OHL, and then he later transitioned with those young players to the NHL. He is very familiar with today's current NHL players, and knows how to scout young ones. The Penguins got a good one.
