John Tavares has always been known for being in good shape. Over his career, he has tried harder to incorporate different fitness strategies to help him maintain his best physical condition.

As you age in the NHL, your game starts to slip away. Ultimately, once your legs go you begin to slow down. For Tavares, he wasn't always known to be the best skater, but because he worked hard at staying well-conditioned, it balanced out.

If he wants to be the best version of himself next season, it starts at home during the offseason. Kala's red light therapy helps heal the body by reducing joint and muscle pain. It also helps improve sleep and speed up healing.
Kala Therapy has worked with NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL athletes . Eventually, there could come a time in the world of sports when red-light therapy is offered by the teams.

At 33 years old, Tavares' body will need all the rest and recovery it can get. He and the rest of the core four on the Maple Leafs have what could be the most pressure-packed season ahead of them. This is likely why Tavares is doing all he can in the best shape and productive on the ice.
In 80 games last season, Tavares had 29 goals and 36 assists for 65 points. Unfortunately, his playoff stats weren't good; he had one goal and one assist as the Maple Leafs were eliminated in seven games.
