Connor McDavid revealed he played the entire NHL playoffs with an abdomninal injury, which fans are now calling fake.

At first glance, it may seem harsh to accuse a player of faking an injury, but that is, until fans recently saw videos of McDavid wakeboarding like a professional alongside his fiancee.

Wakeboarding puts tremendous pressure on a person's abdomen, which is exactly the injury that McDavid revealed he had at the end of the playoffs. Now that fans have seen these videos surface, they are calling him a scammer.
So the injury news was a scam I guess
Whether McDavid truly had an injury is yet to be known, but that didn't stop him from putting up 42 points in the Oilers recent run to game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals. The problems for McDavid didn't just end there, as he was heavily criticized for refusing to come out and accept the Conn Smythe trophy from Gary Bettman that he had just won.

The good news in all of this is that McDavid does seem to be healthy, and hopefully won't use up all of his energy wakeboarding this summer, as the Oilers will need him to put up over 100 points once again.
