After several strong years as a coach, Jessica Campbell has now officially made NHL history, being hired as a coach with hte Seattle Kraken.
The NHL and hockey have taken major strides in equality in recent years, and after the incredible emergence of the PWHL in the past year, we've seen more history now officially made.

According to Ryan Clark, of ESPN, the Kraken have now made it official, following three years of great coaching with the Coachella Valley Firebirds, adding an experienced voice to a fantastic coaching room.
The Seattle #Kraken have hired Jessica Campbell as their newest assistant coach, making her the very first woman in a full-time role on an NHL bench.
What an achievement for Jessica Campbell! 👏
Now, it appears to be just a matter of time until we see a female Head Coach in the NHL, but for now, the opportunities for women in hockey continue to grow, so this is a great move for Campbell and the Kraken.
