The Tampa Bay Lightning have brought in their new marquis forward to replace Steven Stamkos in Jake Guentzel of the Carolina Hurricanes.

With a star studded forward corps including Brayden Point and Nikita Kucherov, the Tampa Bay Lightning have now added another top winger in Jake Guentzel.

With longtime captain Steven Stamkos unsigned, it is expected Jake Guentzel will be replacing the former 60-goal scorer.

This caps off a week where the Tampa Bay Lightning traded Mikhail Sergachev and Tanner Jeannot and brought in JJ Moser and Connor Geekie.

The Tampa Bay Lightning acquired Guentzel this morning from the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for a third round pick. The longtime Pittsburgh Penguins forward fit beautifully next to Sidney Crosby and will hopefully fit well with new superstars in Tampa Bay.

Sources say #GoBolts have agreed to terms on a contract with Jake Guentzel after a productive Sunday.

Details have been hard to come by as Tampa has other moving parts, and info might not come out until tomorrow.

Still not finalized, but all signs point to Tampa getting Jake Guentzel signed to a 7-year deal. I would expect an announcement sometime tomorrow before the market opens. The Bolts weren't going to trade for his rights without feeling good about their chances to get him signed.
