The Chicago Blackhawks' general manager, Kyle Davidson, confirmed the team's plans for Hawks legend Patrick Kane in a recent interview.

With Patrick Kane looking for a new contract once again, many people believe a reunion with Chicago could happen.
After spending 16 seasons with the Blackhawks, Kane joined the New York Rangers and the Detroit Red Wings.
The Blackhawks traded him at the 2023 trade deadline. The team was headed nowhere at this time, and the Rangers seemed poised for a long playoff run.
Unfortunately for him, it didn't happen, and the Rangers were eliminated in the first round. Later, he announced that he would need major hip surgery that would force him to miss several months of the 2023-24 season.
He managed to return and signed a deal with the Red Wings. In 50 games, he scored 47 points, proving he can still compete in the NHL at 35 years old.
After showing that he still has what it takes, many people started to speculate about a potential return to Chicago.
Unfortunately for Blackhawks fans, GM Kyle Davidson revealed in a recent interview that he's not planning to bring Kane back to Chicago:
"#Blackhawks GM Kyle Davidson on the possibility of a Patrick Kane reunion: 'He did have a really good year. We're all really happy to see that after having his hip procedure last offseason. That was great to see. I think we made some really tough decisions on some longstanding players. I don't foresee us going back on that.'"
Do you think Kyle Davidson would make a mistake by bringing Patrick Kane back to the Chicago Blackhawks?
