Zach Hyman has been through many personal and professional changes since his major trade from the Edmonton Oilers to the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Zach Hyman has been nothing short of incredible with the Oilers so far and his most recent performance in the playoffs supports that.
In a recent interview, he touched upon his departure from the Leafs, and how he felt about leaving the team, who he spent 6 of his first seasons in the NHL with.
Hyman's response to the questions in the interview clearly had a hint of distain in them:
«It's easy when it's not really your decision.»
Hyman continuously bashed the Leafs and their organization, following up with another comment dissing the Leafs, saying he doubts they're cheering for the Oilers, despite them being the only Canadian team left in the playoffs.
«Well I don't know if Toronto's cheering for us, but it's nice to hear Ottawa is.»
Hyman is clearly better off with the Oilers. After the Leafs were forced to let him go due to cap space and he signed with the Oilers, he achieved record stats for his career, with 54 goals in 80 of his games. The Leafs lost a great player and a valuable asset, but Hyman seems to remain unfazed by his past, and more than happy with his current team.
