The Vancouver Canucks are on the verge of losing two big mid-season acquisitions in free agency, and Nikita Zadorov's agent has shut down a rumour stating otherwise.

The 2023-24 season was a wild ride for the Vancouver Canucks, and with the additions of Nikita Zadorov and Elias Lindholm, it was believed that they could be a genuine Stanley Cup threat. That didn't eventuate however, and now they have a huge summer ahead, with both Lindholm and Zadorov set to hit free agency, with both of their wives hinting on social media that they could be on the way out.

Contrary to that, Sportsnet's Iain MacIntyre recently reported on X that both players have made headway on potential new deals with the Canucks.

Amid Canuck coaching news the last couple of weeks, there has been significant traction in contract talks w UFAs Nikita Zadorov and Elias Lindholm. Maybe neither re-signs, but it's possible the Canucks could keep both players.

This comes on the back of reports that have stated the complete opposite, and now, Nikita Zadorov's agent Dan Milstein has called out the report with a simple reply on X;

Fake news...

It's unclear what Zadorov's market will be this summer, but with all of the tools and the performance he's put on in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, it's safe to say that whether it's Vancouver or elsewhere, he's going to get a major new deal sometime in the next few months.
