Elliotte Friedman made a shocking prediction for Jake Guentzel's next team as he's set to test the free agent market on July 1st.

In what turned out to be an eventful year for Guentzel, he managed to stay on top of the pressure. After being traded from the Pittsburgh Penguins to the Carolina Hurricanes by Kyle Dubas, he performed well, scoring 25 points in 17 regular season games, and nine points in 11 playoff games.

Guentzel, 29, will be looking for a new contract this summer, and should get offers from teams across the NHL.

The insider Elliotte Friedman shared a wild prediction on NHL Network about where he'll sign.

He believes the forward will join Connor Bedard with the Chicago Blackhawks:

"Guentzel to Chicago July 1st .
Wild prediction by Friedge on NHL network . What do you guys think?"

With Guentzel's experience on Sidney Crosby's line, he could be one of the most qualified player to play alongside Connor Bedard on the Hawks' first line.

The Blackhawks have $33,790,000 in projected cap space according to CapFriendly. They are in a position to give Guentzel a great offer, and frankly, they should jump on it.

Do you think the Chiacago Blackhawks should try to sign Jake Guentzel this summer?
