After a tough game-six loss in the Eastern Conference Finals to the Florida Panthers, New York Rangers rookie enforcer Matt Rempe finally addressed the media.

Matt Rempe made a quick name for himself in his first season with the NHL. The rookie enforcer made quick work joining as many fights as he could during the regular season, including one with New Jersey Devils defenseman Kurtis MacDermid.

"Puck drops, and it's a line brawl 5 vs 5 fight. The Main Event, Matt Rempe vs Kurtis MacDermid. Full fight plus Coaches yelling at each other. #NYR"

Unfortunately, after a hard fight in the playoffs, the New York Rangers fell short of the Stanley Cup Finals. The President's Trophy-winning team was eliminated after losing in overtime of game six of the Eastern Conference Finals by the Florida Panthers.

"Panthers (-165 ML) beat the Rangers and are headed to the Stanley Cup Finals"

Now that the initial hype of the Rangers' final game this season has mostly died down, Matt Rempe has finally addressed the media about his take on the result. Unsurprising to anyone, the 21-year-old forward was not pleased and is already planning to further his game for the upcoming season. However, he also added he will take the praise he gets upon his return home.

"Matt Rempe will train in Calgary this summer.

'I'm no way at all satisfied. I'm going to put in the work every day.» He added he's even signed up for Pilates.'

As for what his return home will be like after his big year, he smiled and said 'maybe I'll get some free beers.'"

With the Rangers already done for this NHL postseason, Matt Rempe can look forward to his brief vacation period. However, if he takes his training seriously, he could come back big time for New York.
