Joe Pavelski is one of the greatest NHLers to never win a Stanley Cup. It is truly heartbreaking, as he has been an incredible player and leader for 18 years.

Unfortunately, the San Jose Sharks legend, and now long-time Dallas Stars forward has called it a career, and will be hanging up the skates after coming just two wins away from a Stanley Cup Final, and potentially winning it all.

While Joe Pavelski is a legend on the ice, he is even better off of it, leading the San Jose Sharks and Dallas stars to Stanley Cup Finals, and taking in young players like Wyatt Johnston and Logan Stankoven to teach them how to be quality NHLers.

Dallas Stars forward Joe Pavelski says «this is it for me.» Says it's not official official, but said it was known for a long time that this was his last go. «Plan is not to play next season.»

Joe Pavelski tells us he will be retiring.

His 18-year NHL career is coming to an end in Dallas.

A great player, but a better man, expect Pavelski to join the Dallas Stars front office one day, as well as being back in San Jose for a jersey retirement.

The NHL won't be the same without Joe Pavelski.
