The Boston Bruins were linked to a 6-foot-2 physical defenseman who'll be a free agent this summer after spending his whole career with the Los Angeles Kings.

According to Jimmy Murphy, a reporter and podcast host, the Boston Bruins would be interested in acquiring Matt Roy on the free agent market.
Roy, 29, was drafted in the 7th round of the 2015 NHL draft by the Los Angeles Kings. Since then, he took part in 369 games with the Kings. In the regular season, he scored 106 points, and added six more in 18 playoff games.
"Possible #NHLBruins UFA target Matt Roy. Right shot defenseman. LA Kings. 29 years old @MurphysLaw74 reports that an NHL source says Roy has been on the Bruins radar.

7th rounder in (you guessed it) 2015"
Even if the Bruins should focus on adding depth in the forward unit this summer, a defenseman like Roy would fit well in Boston. He has a physical style, is reliable defensively and can contribute offensively. In Los Angeles, he's been playing a lot woth Drew Doughty, getting a lot of experience and improving his two-way game.
Do you think the Boston Bruins should sign Matt Roy this summer?
