This afternoon a new report has given a major update involving the case of Mitch Marner and his car being robbed. According to Rick Westhead, the charges have been dropped.

This past summer Mitch Marner was involved in a terrifying robbery at the hands of two individuals named Christon Arman Johnson and Anas Adan Farah. Mitch Marner and his wife Stephanie LaChance were robbed with force and eventually would press charges.

Today a new report from hockey insider Rick Westhead has confirmed the charges have now been dropped. The dropping of charges comes after there was insufficient evidence to continue the case.

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mitch Marner was robbed in an armed carjacking outside a movie theatre in May 2022.
Police announced a pair of arrests nearly a year later, citing months of «non-stop legwork» investigating the robbery.
Now, court documents show a Crown attorney has withdrawn all charges against both men, telling a court there wasn't "a reasonable prospect of conviction."

According to new court documents it seems the case began to fall apart in October of 2023 before eventually being entirely dropped.

Court documents show that the case against Johnson and Farah later fell apart at an Oct. 10, 2023, hearing when a Crown prosecutor withdrew all charges against both men, telling court that «there's not a reasonable prospect of conviction.»

With the charges dropped Mitch Marner and his family will not be able to get justice for the danger they faced. On a good note it seems Mitch Marner and his family have been able to successfully put the incident behind them and keep moving forward.
