The dissection of the end of the season for the Toronto Maple Leafs has continued today. Several fans have looked over the play that ended the Maple Leafs season in overtime. Since analyzing the play fans believe two forwards are to blame.

The first player that has been ripped to shreds since the play happened is Mitch Marner. During the play, it can clearly be seen that David Pastrnak the eventual goal scorer blows by Mitch Marner in transition.

Now after a couple of days of analyzation fans are also berating William Nylander. On the same play, William Nylander can be seen in the high slot not coming back to help after Mitch Marner gets burned.

While David Pastrnak is not William Nylander's primary responsibility on this play he likely should've seen the net drive happening and at least crashed the net to stop second opportunities. He didn't and the Maple Leafs season ended.

The Toronto Maple Leafs season ended on one play. Despite this one play did not determine the entire outcome. Regardless several Maple Leafs players including Mitch Marner and William Nylander will have to hear about this play for months to come.
