The Toronto Maple Leafs were eliminated from the playoffs once again last night after the Boston Bruins beat them in game 7. Now the Leafs will be making their season exit interviews, but insider Chris Johnston has revealed that they are making an unusual move.

Johnston revealed that the team will be holding their exit interviews tomorrow. The players as well as head coach Sheldon Keefe will be available to the media for their day, but the rest of team management will not be addressing us at the same time. Instead, they will be holding their own media day on Thursday. As Johnston points out, this is not the way the team has done season-ending exit interviews in the past.

The #leafs will hold an end-of-season availability for players and head coach Sheldon Keefe tomorrow, with management not due to speak until Thursday.

That's a significant departure from past protocol in these parts.

Fellow insider David Pagnotta also reported on the news, giving us the start time. Sheldon Keefe is slated to be the first Leaf available, and he will be addressing the media at 11:30AM EST.

The Maple Leafs will hold their end-of-season player interviews with the media on Monday, starting with coach Sheldon Keefe at approximately 11:30am ET.

Management will be addressing the media on Thursday.

Leafs fans seem to believe that the Leafs are hanging Sheldon Keefe out to dry. The theory is that they are making him face tough questions from the media only to let him go two days later when they hold their own interviews.

Man, they are going to do Keefe dirty. Make him answer to media tomorrow just to fire him on Thursday.

Wait they are gonna march him in front of the media?
Just fire the man.

The move could be reminiscent of last season, when general manager Kyle Dubas was fired seemingly out of the blue the day after he made his exit interview. Regardless of what happens, it will certainly be an eventful offseason for the Maple Leafs. Be sure to stay tuned for all the offseason stories.
