Tyson Jost straight up slaps Jordan Oesterle to get the puck back in play

It's not too often you see slapping in the National Hockey League, unless it's someone slapping the puck with their stick. However, in a game between the Colorado Avalanche and Arizona Coyotes Monday night, the Avs Tyson Jost straight up slaps Jordan Oesterle of the Coyotes in the head while trying to keep the puck in play. The puck had landed on top of the boards near Colorado's bench while Jost was attempting to get it further down the ice. Jost takes a swing at the puck with his hand and knocks it into Oesterle, where the puck then gets caught up between his helmet and jerssey. So, Jost draws back and swings again, hitting Oesterle square in the side of the head while knocking the puck loose.

It's a bit strange that Oesterle doesn't even react, other than to fix his helmet, which had been knocked askew by Jost's slap. Jost was trying to get the puck back on the ice, but still, I can't imagine many other players just standing there and taking the slap the way Oesterle did. He doesn't even look annoyed. Whatever the case, Colorado would go on to win the game 5-1.
