Carey Price was a star goaltender and is often considered a shoo-in for the Hockey Hall of Fame. However, his wife recently shared that the two have been seeking outside help to save their marriage.
It would be almost impossible to find a Montreal Canadiens fan who does not respect the high level of play Carey Price demonstrated in his 15-year career with the Habs. However, the player's wife Angela Price shared that the two have had marital trouble since his departure, and the two have sought counseling. When asked about this through Instagram's Q&A feature within stories, she shared they do still go, but less often.
"We just go as needed now... which is not often. I think the biggest thing we learned in therapy was how to better communicate so we don't feel like it's needed on a regular basis now."
While couples therapy should be recognized as a generally healthy activity for partners struggling to communicate, it should come as no surprise the two have tried it out amidst their family struggles. Firstly, the Price family recently sold their Montreal home, but for far less than their asking price.
"Future Hall-of-Fame Montreal Canadiens goalie Carey Price's home on Montreal' South Shore has sold for $1.5 million, about $300,000 less that the original asking price."
Additionally, the two made a trip to visit Spokane, but not for a fun vacation. Instead, the couple were there to attend a funeral service for a family member.
"Not under the best circumstances but it was a nice visit to Spokane. It was a beautiful service for Aunt Laura 🕊️ Also never really explored Spokane outside of downtown... it's actually a really beautiful area."
