The New York Rangers' rookie Matt Rempe was exposed for recklessly and dangerously injuring T.J. Oshie with a dirty hit.

Matt Rempe, who injured more players than he scored goals for the Rangers since the start of his career, made another victim in the playoffs.

In the third game against the Washington Capitals, Rempe landed a dangerous hit on Oshie that forced him to retreat to the locker room.

A few days after that tough elimination, the Capitals were back in Washington for their post-season media availability.

Oshie appeared with a cast on his hand, and revealed that he broke it in game 3, with a hit form Rempe:

"T.J. Oshie said he broke his left hand on the hit by Matt Rempe in Game 3. added he'd like to find a way to play next season without going in and out of the lineup."

Oshie still managed to tally almost 20 minutes of ice-time in game four, with a broken hand. At 37 years old, he still has a year left on his contract with the Capitals.

This summer is poised to be crucial for the Capitals' core. Management will need to make decisions: either they make big moves in the off-season, or they sit out and wait until the older players move on before rebuilding.

More to come.
