Vancouver Canucks star Brock Boeser left Thursday's practice early.

He appeared to get hit in the left hand/wrist area by a shot during a power play drill. The Canucks, the Pacific division champions, can't afford another injury here. Head coach Rick Tocchet said he thinks he's fine but we truly won't know until puck drop on Friday.

Vancouver lost netminder Thatcher Demko for game 2 of their first-round series against the Nashville Predators and had to start Casey Desmith, which didn't go well in their 4-1 loss, evening the series as it shifts back to the United States.

If Boeser is gone too, they're is in potential upset trouble here. It would also stink for him, as after eight years of waiting, the 27-year-old finally had the chance to play a Stanley Cup Playoffs game in front of fans. The winger enjoyed himself with an assist in the 4-2 Game 1 victory at a raucous Rogers Arena. Boeser had an 18-goal, 55-point season in 74 regular season games. He's making $6.65 million annually for the next three seasons.
