Everyone knows the Buffalo Sabres are bad this year. After Thursday night's 4-1 loss to the Boston Bruins, the team has now lost 13 games in a row and dropped their first under new head coach Don Granato. However, it was NESN announcer Jack Edwards who recieved a lot of the attention during the game last night when he decided to kick the Sabres while they're down as much as possible.

Edwards started right out of the gate, saying the Bruins were taking on the "NHL's version of a dumpster fire."

That statement prompted many on social media to question Edwards' professionalism, including Sabres insider Mike Harrington.

"The Jack Edwards slam on Sabres is obviously accurate... But that said, employees of teams and television networks who are rightsholders for a league generally aren't in the business of gratuitous slams of the opposition like that. They're all generally in it together," said Harrington.

Harrington was far from the only person to point this out. Even some Bruins' fans were shaking their head at the statement. Edwards also said later in the game that "Rasmus Ristolainen leads the league in frustration."

None of this is surprising for Edwards. Yes, networks that cover certain teams will certainly show bias towards those teams. Edwards tends to take that to a whole other level, bashing opponents every chance he gets. AS John SCott recently said, he's the "world's biggest homer."
