Robin Lehner had heard enough speculation about his injury and has decided to come clean on what's going on. The Vegas Golden Knights goalie hasn't played since February 7th and the team said very little about his injury, leading some to speculate that it was a mental health issue, which Lehner has been very open about throughout his career. Lehner has now been activated from injured reserved and told reporters his time off had nothing was not for mental health reasons.

"Robin Lehner says he did hear the speculation that he wasn't hurt, and felt it was important to say he had a concussion," said The Athletic's Jesse Granger.

"He said the stigma around mental health is insane, and that he thinks he should get the benefit of the doubt because he's been so honest about it," Granger added.

"With concussions you don't really know the symptoms," Lehner told reporters. "I thought I was ok, but then I didn't pass some of the tests."

Lehner added it was the third concussion of his career.

It is kind of sad that people went immediately to Lehner suffering from a mental health issue just because it's something he's been open about in the past. It's nice that he cleared the air, but it's something he shouldn't have had to do if he'd rather it remain a private issue.
