Two of the four players placed on waivers on Tuesday have been claimed. According to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet, the Vancouver Canucks have claimed forward Jimmy Vesey from Toronto, while the Ottawa Senators have claimed goaltender Anton Forsberg from the Winnipeg Jets.

Vesey, 27, was signed by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the off-season to a one-year contract worth $900,000. In 30 games this season, he's recorded 7 points (5 G, 2 A), 4 penalty minutes, and is a -4.

Forsberg, 28, has yet to appear in a game this season, spending his time on taxi squads. He signed a one-year contract with the Edmonton Oilers on the first day of free agency in October. Forsberg was then placed on waivers by the Oilers just a day before the start of the 2020-21 season, and was claimed by his former club, the Carolina Hurricanes. Just a few days after being claimed by Carolina, the Hurricanes placed him back on waivers, which he was then claimed again, this time by the Winnipeg Jets.

In other related news on Wednesday, Paul Byron (MTL), and Mikhail Grigorenko (CLB) have cleared waivers, and will remain with their respective clubs.
