The battle between Gord Miller and Barstool Sports has taken on a life of its own over the past 24 hours, with fans on both sides getting involved and sharing their two cents on the whole ordeal.

The whole mess began when a fan of Gord Miller asked if and when he would be appearing on the Spittin' Chiclets podcast, to which Miller simply stated that although he likes former NHLers Ryan Whitney and Paul Bissonnette, he doesn't want to associate himself with Barstool Sports, the company that Spittin' Chiclets operates under.

I guess Ryan Whitney didn't get the memo, nor did he choose to go back and read everything prior to releasing the video response to the whole thing below, because he entirely overlooked the part where Miller said he supported Whitney, but not Barstool.

I get the feeling that Whitney and company are going to lose a few fans over this reply. Not only does Whitney come across as arrogant and aggressive in the video, but also ignorant and defensive, despite declaring how little he cared at the beginning of the video. Sort of confusing to claim that you don't care one minute and then go off on someone who has already stated that he likes you the next.

Whitney telling his followers, and by extension, Miller, that he wasn't invited after Miller had already declared that he would have declined the opportunity also seems quite petty and unnecessary.

Paul "BizNasty" Bissonnette has yet to publicly comment on the situation.

This one looks as though it's going to drag on for at least a few days here, so buckle up for some drama, folks!
