Brad Marchand is certainly one of the more controversial and abrasive players in the NHL. The captain of the Boston Bruins never holds back from causing a scene, and against the Toronto Maple Leafs last night, he did just that.

In a game where the Toronto Maple Leafs won 3-2 thanks to a late goal by Auston Matthews, what really stood out was Brad Marchand's hilarious and extremely obvious dive during a scrum in the third period.

Through the air, Tyler Berutzzi somehow slashed Marchand! Well... obviously it wasn't that simple, as it is clear there was no impact with the Boston Bruins captain, but it exemplifies the playoff nature of the Maple Leafs/Bruins rivalry.

I really hope Brad Marchand survives this treacherous slash.
Praying for him 🙏

The craziest part, however, is that Tyler Bertuzzi was called for the slash!

Bertuzzi is called for slashing on Marchand

Tyler Bertuzzi, who was a member of the Boston Bruins just a year ago when he was acquired at the trade deadline from the Detroit Red Wings certainly doesn't have any mercy for his former teammates.

Tyler Bertuzzi letting Brad Marchand know he's not a Boston Bruin anymore.

It sure feels like this series is going to go to seven!
