The Buffalo Sabres have struggled for a number of years, and now, it appears after all this time, they're to be solid in a monumental deal.
While all the talk in the NHL as of late has surrounded the Arizona Coyotes move to Salt Lake City, another shocking move may be about to happen, as there is now reports of the Buffalo Sabres being involved in a massive sale.
According to multiple sources, the Buffalo Bandits, Buffalo Sabres, Rochester Americans, and Rochester Knighthawks are going to be sold.
"Everything but the Bills," one source said.
At this stage, there's very little buzz about the potential move, as it's highly unlikely to effect the way things are done in Buffalo, but with the Bandits, Rochester Americans and Rochester Knighthawks all involved in the deal, it's monumental for sports in Buffalo.
With one of the most talented young cores in the NHL, the lengthy struggle of the Sabres may finally be coming to an end, but off the ice, things could be changing in a big way.
More details to come when they are released, but for now, it appears as though this summer is going to be a huge one for sales in the NHL, even if Buffalo are remaining put.
UPDATEIt was announced later on today that these reports were false, and that nothing is done. It appears Terry Pegula is listening to offers on one of his two NLL franchises.
