It's been five years since P.K. Subban has worn a Montreal Canadiens jersey during a game, but his memory still brings about a lot of mixed feeling among fans. The defenceman's best seasons were played in Montreal and he seemed to love playing with the Canadiens. However, it's not exactly clear that management loved him back and two former members of the team are now bringing up some very interesting revelations about Subban's time with the Habs.

Dale Weise, who played for Montreal during two different stints, has started a new podcast called "Habs Tonight." In his very first episode, his guest was fellow former Hab George Laraque, and the two discussed some fascinating things about Subban's time in Montreal.

For one, Laraque mentioned that the relationship between the player and the team was severely damaged during an arbitration session, with Laraque claiming that the organization criticized Subban a lot during the process, which impacted him greatly.

"Any player who heard what Subban heard would be gone, but he didn't," said Laraque.

Meanwhile, Weise talked about the time Max Pacioretty was named captain of the Montreal Canadiens, saying a player vote was held and he's not certain Pacioretty was the winner.

"I am not sure that Max Pacioretty received more votes than P.K. Subban for the title of captain of the Canadiens," said Weise.

If either of these statements is true, they certainly show that the organization wasn't that high on Subban, despite the dynamic player and fan favourite he was at the time. Subban was traded to the Nashville Predators in June of 2016 in exchange for Shea Weber, and the rest is history.
