Boston Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy confirmed reports this morning that forward Jake Debrusk will be a healthy scratch for Tuesday night's game versus the New York Islanders.

«We're not quite getting out of Jake what we want,» Cassidy said. «We just feel like we're not always getting the effort required.»

The talented 24-year-old winger has struggled this season, with just one goal and five points through 17 games played. He won't be the only regular missing from the lineup tonight either, as goaltender Tuukka Rask is reportedly battling a back injury that is forcing him to sit out. As a result, Jaroslav Halak will get the start with Daniel Vladar backing him up. It is a huge game for both teams tonight, as the Bruins trail the Islanders by five points for first place in the East Division but have three games in hand.
