After an impressive start to his career, Moritz Seider has now added fighting to his resume after crushing star Filip Forsberg in his first career fight.

The Detroit Red Wings are desperate to break their eight year playoff drought in 2023-24, and that desperation was on full display on Saturday, despite the 1-0 loss to the talented Nashville Predators.

Despite there being just one goal on the day, it was a thrilling contest for many reasons, but most of all, for a shocking fight between two players that aren't known for it. During the intense matchup, it was rising star Moritz Seider who dropped the gloves with Nashville Predators star Filip Forsberg in an incredibly entertaining fight.

It was notably the first career fight of Moritz Seider, but with his size and strength it was hard to tell, as he took care of the Nashville Predators veteran star Filip Forsberg with ease, looking right at home as he dropped the gloves.

Seider may have won the fight, but it was the Predators that picked up the victory in a must-win game for both teams, narrowing the Detroit Red Wings lead in the Eastern Conference Wild Card race down to one point over the Washington Capitals. Nashville on the other hand now have a nine point gap between themselves and ninth place in the Western Conference Wild Card race, and while this game had everything, it was the fight that stood out to the sold out crowd in Nashville.

Now, with Seider showing he can get physical, it adds another intriguing element to his game, and if he can find the line between physicality and intelligence, he could remain on the trajectory of becoming one of the NHL's brightest young stars.
