Corey Perry Calls Out the Attitude Issues in the Oilers Locker Room

The Edmonton Oilers have the talent to make a Stanley Cup run, but the attitude issue in the room needs to be fixed, and veteran Corey Perry has now addressed that.

On paper, the Edmonton Oilers are one of the best teams in the NHL, but it appears they are settled ahead of the playoffs, with Head Coach Kris Knoblauch shuffling their lines once again ahead of a crucial matchup against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Now, it appears there may be some tension or attitude issues arising from this, which veteran forward Corey Perry has addressed in his latest interview.

Unsurprisingly, Perry didn't call anyone out by name, but with such an experienced group, especially up front, this is a team that shouldn't have a selfish player among them, as they should all be focused on winning a Stanley Cup. Perry may not have done that yet, but he's been to the Stanley Cup Finals several times with Montreal and Tampa Bay, and now, he's focused on helping the Oilers win their first since the early 1990's.

Perry has an impressive 4 goals and 5 assists in 16 games since joining the team, and with so much talent up and down the lineup, they should be a Stanley Cup favourite. We saw earlier in the season however that Evander Kane was one of those players with attitude issues, and one can't help but think that may be who Corey Perry was addressing in this situation.

Overall, this is a team built for a Stanley Cup run, but unless the team follow Perry's advice, they'll struggle to take down some of the top teams in the Western Conference.
