Tonight new details have emerged regarding the tragic and sudden passing of Konstantin Koltsov. New police reports have confirmed that Koltsov's passing was not from natural causes.

Heartbreaking Update Release By Police In The Passing Of Koltsov

Earlier today a sad announcement was made when several outlets confirmed that former NHLer Konstantin Koltsov had passed away.

We regret to announce the passing of Konstantin Koltsov at the age of 42.

Koltsov played parts of three NHL seasons, recording 12 goals and 26 assists in 144 games and spent an additional 16 professional seasons in Europe

A new post on X has taken a quote from the Miami-Dade Police Department which were investigating Koltsov's passing. According to the update, police believe that Koltsov sadly took his own life.

According to investigators on Monday, March 18, 2024, at approximately 12 : 39 a.m., Bal Harbour Police and Fire Rescue were dispatched to the St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort, 9703 Collins Avenue, in reference to a male that jumped from a balcony.»

«The Miami-Dade Police Department, Homicide Bureau, responded and has taken over the investigation of the apparent passing of Mr. Konstantin Koltsov (04/17/1981). No foul play is suspected.»

Koltsov was a well respected and beloved former NHLer by all who saw him play. This news only adds another sad and devastating layer to the sudden passing of Koltsov.

Our thoughts go out to his family, friends, and former colleagues as they navigate the grief that comes along with the sudden passing of someone you love.
