Ryan Reaves has always been known as one of the toughest guys in the NHL. Never backing down from an altercation or a fight. Tonight was no different as Reaves once again got into a fight however this time he left likely wishing he hadn't.

Reaves Forced To Leave Game After Suffering Injury In Fight

The Toronto Maple Leafs and Philadelphia Flyers faced off in a game that had playoff energy to it tonight. Just five minutes into the game Ryan Reaves and fellow grinder Nic Deslauriers decided they wanted to drop the gloves and give the crowd a show.

After a respectable fight from both sides, Deslauriers seemed to finish off the fight as the winner. Both players got credit on social media for a good fight and some even thought Reaves took home the win. However, just a couple of minutes later the fun turned to concern as Reaves made his way to the locker room with his eye swollen shut.

Ryan Reaves' right eye looks to be swolen shut.

Reaves would go to get checked out and to this point has not returned to the Maple Leafs bench. If Reaves ends up being seriously injured from this play it would be a huge knock to the Maple Leafs lineup. Reaves provides the momentum and swagger to a team that sometimes lacks it.

If there are more updates regarding Reaves' health from the Maple Leafs we will provide you with the latest updates.
