John Tortorella was recently suspended for refusing to leave the game after being ejected, and now we have more details about what went into the suspension.

Tortorella Suspended Two Games For Refusing to Leave Bench

John Tortorella is well known for having an attitude, and not being afraid to show it when someone crosses him. However, this has gotten him into some trouble during a recent game. After the Flyers went down 4-0 early in a game against the Lightning, Tortorella was ejected for saying something to the Officials. However, he refused to leave the bench.
Tortorella got a lot of love on social media for his antics, as many people dislike how much power and protection NHL officials have these days. Seeing Tortorella stand up against them was something that doesn't happen often.

Now, we have some insight into what the NHL was thinking when it handed the suspension out to Tortorella. They believe that he set a dangerous precedent when refusing to leave the bench and that they do not want coaches boycotting officials' decisions. However, Elliotte Friedman has stated that it may be beneficial to hear from the officials about what happened.
NHL told PHI that Tortorella set a dangerous precedent by refusing to leave the bench.

But fair to question the handling by the officials - a rookie who struggled dealing with an emotional game and a veteran who felt pressure to take control & (possibly) overreacted.
Do you think that Tortorella was suspended too long?
