The Pittsburgh Penguins were in need of a hero not very long ago, and thought they found one in Kyle Dubas. Unfortunately for them, it seems that many people are unhappy about his decisions as a general manager, including one star player who has recently been speaking out against his leadership choices.

Crosby Slams Dubas For Poor Management Choices

Sidney Crosby is arguably the most successful member of the Penguins, who currently has 32 goals and assists each in 62 games this season. Provided this, it is fair to say he knows a thing or two about how to make a team successful. Yet, he has been at odds with their general manager after some trade deadline decisions.
The most prominent of these choices was the decision to trade Jake Guentzel, a very productive winger, to the Hurricanes in a deal involving Michael Bunting. In response, Crosby made a statement applauding Guentzel's service to the team and proclaiming that it is not a reasonable action for the team moving forward.
"I don't know. You'd have to ask him why he did that. He was a great teammate, a friend. I think he did everything he possibly could in his time here. It was just a privilege to play with him for the course of the time. Some great memories. It was a privilege. That's all I can say.»

Rumors Of Crosby's Departure Loom Over Pittsburgh.

With his major struggle with Dubas, many are holding Crosby's place in Pittsburgh in question. He has already previously expressed a dislike of Dubas, and being pulled away from a player he had a long-term friendship and game success with only makes matters worse.
Crosby has had a long, fruitful career with the Penguins, and many are seeing this as a point of his inevitable departure. Fans have already started to post about this, both applauding his time in the NHL and blaming Dubas for his downturn.
While it will likely be a while before Crosby makes any departure announcement, it is fair to say he has been a great player for the Penguins for ages. Hopefully he can have another chance at the cup before it comes time to call it quits.
