Frustrating news has come in today for Colorado Avalanche fans as one of the team's top wingers will now be out for the season due to an injury.

Avalanche Winger Undergoes Season-Ending Surgery

Per head coach Jared Bednar, forward Logan O'Connor will have season-ending hip surgery.
BREAKING: Jared Bednar says Logan O'Connor is having season-ending hip surgery. He's done for the year.
While the absence of O'Connor will be felt recent additions to the forward group such as Casey Mittelstadt, Yakov Trenin, and Brandon Duhaime set the Avalanche up well to deal with this.
The Avalanche play next on Tuesday against the Calgary Flames. This will be the next time we see what the lineup will look like without O'Connor.
