The Winnipeg Jets newest addition is headed to injured reserve. At practice on February 12th, Jets forward Pierre-Luc Dubois suffered a lower-body injury, and it appears it hasn't healed as well as originally thought which prompted Winnipeg to place him on IR. He only featured in 2 games with the Jets before getting injured, recording no points, 2 penalty minutes, and is a +/-0.

Dubois, 22, was acquired by Winnipeg, along with a 2022 3rd round pick on January 23rd from the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for Jack Roslovic, and Patrik Laine. Dubois had a rocky relationship in Columbus with head coach John Tortorella, and reportedly submitted a trade request to general manager Jarmo Kekalainen.

In 241 regular season games, he's tallied 159 points (66 G, 93 A), 166 penalty minutes, and is a +20. In 26 career playoff games, Dubois' recorded 19 points (8 G, 11 A), 24 penalty minutes, and is a -2.

The Jets are hoping that Dubois' stint on IR won't be long as they continue to hold a top-four spot in the Scotia North Division. The IR placement is retroactive. The earliest he can return is Friday but there's no timeline for his recovery at the moment.
