Just a couple of days after being traded from the Ottawa Senators to the Carolina Hurricanes, Alex Galchenyuk is on the move again. Galchenyuk is now a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs after being acquired in exchange for forward Egor Korshkov and defenceman David Warsofsky.

After being put on waivers by the Hurricanes immediately after being acquired, many thought he would be headed to Carolina's taxi squad. That was not the case as Galchenyuk was added to the roster of the Chicago Wolves of the AHL earlier Monday. It would have been the first time in his NHL career that he had been sent to the minors, but he'll no longer have to worry about that.

Since being taken by Montreal 3rd overall in 2012 and playing six seasons there, Galchenyuk has had stints with the Arizona Coyotes, Pittsburgh Penguins, Minnesota Wild and the Ottawa Senators after signing there as a free agent during the latest offseason. He and Cedric Paquette were dealt to Carolina in exchange for Ryan Dzingel just two days ago.
