The Pittsburgh Penguins were looking for another Stanley Cup run in 2023-24, but with the injuries and inconsistency piling up, things are looking worse by the day.

Bryan Rust week-to-week with major injury

One player that they couldn't afford to lose was veteran forward Bryan Rust, but unfortunately, Head Coach Mike Sullivan has now confirmed the worst.
Mike Sullivan said Bryan Rust is week to week with an upper-body injury.
In 42 games this season, Rust has tallied an impressive 18 goals and 18 assists, continuing to be a key part of this organization, but unfortunately, his injury may come with severe consequences for the teams hopes at a playoff run.
Rust has dealt with plenty of injuries over his career in Pittsburgh, but at 31-years of age, he's showing that he still has plenty of gas left in the tank, so the hope for the team and the player is that this won't end his season early.
