MAJOR: Canucks Beginning Process to Trade 100-Point Scoring Centre Elias Pettersson

It was reported yesterday that the Vancouver Canucks and Elias Pettersson haven't really gained traction in contract negotiations, in fact the organization has doubts that he even wants to stay long term in Vancouver. According to insider, due to lack of commitment, the Canucks are doing their homework on a potential trade involving their star forward.

It's hard to win a trade when you lose a 100 point player, but the Canucks have to find away to get the value they are looking for whether it's futures or roster players for the Swedish star.

Tough news for a team doing so well this season, but Canucks need to act on this situation before it gets messy.
