Ever since Morgan Rielly's actions against the Ottawa Senators, the NHL world has been buzzing about 'the code', and now, the NHL appear to have taken note of a developing situation.

Two teams warned over potential retaliation

According to Elliotte Friedman, the NHL have issued warnings to the Detroit Red Wings and Vancouver Canucks, as they suspect possible retaliation to be levied towards Jake Walman.
I have no doubt there were people who said that they should have done something about that or next time they play they should do something about that.

Elliotte mentions both teams will probably be warned before the game this week since the Rielly incident happened.
After his overtime winner, Walman did the 'griddy', and while some loved it, other people saw it as major disrespect, and with the two teams playing again, there's no surprise that whispers of retaliation became very loud.
On one hand, there's no doubting that such a celebration can be seen as a disrespectful act, but on the other hand, there's no denying that an overtime winner is a thrilling moment, and especially for a young player, it needs to be celebrated.
Ultimately, this Canucks team is full of physical forces like Tyler Myers and Nikita Zadorov, so it will be interesting to see how this game is handled even if the warning is given from the NHL like Friedman appears to expect.
