Police Officially Investigating the Mysterious Death of a 17-Year-Old Hockey Player During Practice

The death of someone young is always terrible news to cover, and now there has been an update on the death of Venedikt Osipov, who passed away during practice.

17-Year-Old Passes Away During Practice From Cardiac Arrest

Horrible news was reported out of Russia yesterday, as a 17-year-old hockey player passed away during practice due to a cardiac arrest. The terrible incident occurred while practice was happening on the ice, and the ambulance was called. Despite arriving in 4 minutes, and paramedics doing the best they could, Venedikt Osipov passed away.
Sport-Express reporting that HC Bobrov forward, 17-year-old Venedikt Osipov, died during training today due to cardiac arrest. 🙏

The team plays in the Natsionalnaya Molodyozhnaya Hokkeinaya Liga (NMHL).

The guys just got on the ice, a hockey player born in 2006 shot at the goal, stood in line and fell. Local forces began to provide assistance, an ambulance arrived in 4 minutes, they began artificial ventilation, but they could not save him.

The whole team underwent a medical examination, everything was fine,» the team said.

Police Officially Investigating Death of 17-Year-Old Who Passed Away During Practice

Now, it has been reported that the death will be investigated by police. According to reports, the investigation is criminal and is based on the grounds of negligence.
UPDATE
A criminal case has been opened on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (causing death by negligence) regarding Osipov's death.
Obviously, this is an evolving investigation, and there are no conclusions that can be drawn as this evolves. Our thoughts are will the family and team of Osipov.
