The Boston Bruins have been one of the best teams in the NHL once again this year. Tonight, Bruins captain Brad Marchand made the season a little more special by making some history.

Bruins Captain Climbs All-Time Leaderboard With Overtime Goal

Brad Marchand played overtime hero for his team tonight as his goal in overtime carried the Bruins to a 3-2 win over the Ottawa Senators. The goal was especially notable for Marchand, as he tied Jaromir Jagr for 3rd all-time in overtime goals with the play.
Brad Marchand scored his 19th career overtime goal and tied Jaromir Jagr for the third most in NHL history, behind only Alex Ovechkin (26) and Sidney Crosby (20).
Goaltender Jeremey Swayman was particularly excited when his captain ended the game with the historic goal.

Bruins Look To Add Center Depth At Trade Deadline

The team could very well be looking to add center depth at the trade deadline this year. After Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci both retired in the offseason, the team has been left with significantly reduced depth down the middle.
One player the team has been linked to in particular is Canadiens center Sean Monahan. Monahan will almost certainly be traded this season as he is on an expiring contract and the Canadiens are still in the midst of a rebuild.
It will be an interesting trade deadline to watch for Bruins fans.
