With more advancements in the 2018 team Canada scandal an NHL insider has revealed how the NHL is handling the four players that left their teams.

Insider Reveals How The NHL Is Dealing With The Four Players

NHL insider Frank Seravalli revealed on social media just how Gary Bettman and the NHL is handling the players that may be involved in the WJC scandal.

Subject to change, but my understanding of the current situation for the 4 #NHL players who have taken leave of absence:

- Will continue to be paid.
- Continue to count against the salary cap.
- Do not count against the roster limit (e.g. non-roster status).

Now like Seravalli says it is subject to change as more information comes to light. The London Police are holding a press conference on February 5th about the situation.

The NHL will need to ride a very fine line with this situation as these players are innocents until proven otherwise.

Other News That Has Come To Light

The NHL app and Fanatics have already taken precautionary steps by removing Cal Foote and Micheal McLeod from their website while they are away from the team.

McLeod and Foote have been removed from the Devils roster on the NHL app

Even Fanatics removed them from shirt options

The Calgary Flames have also followed suit by removing Dillon Dube from their website as well.

The other players have just left their teams leaving all speculation
to believe they are part of the scandal.

If proven innocent it is believed that these changes will be reversed.
